01/08/93 - 30/09/93.

MANUAL project.
Creation of a tool to create different formats of documentation automatically from one source code. One of the main targets of the project is to automatically generate the different formats so that NO manual work is needed in the output files.
Most documentation, such as manual and installation notes, were written in FrameMaker. But the need to have the documentation available in Windows Online Help, HTML format and on paper resulted in this tool.
The source code is written in Docushop, a language in which you use tags to structure and format your text. From this source code, the tool can generate Windows Online help, HTML format and MS-Word files.
01/10/95 - 31/12/99

Several smaller projects
- Oracle and VMS consultancy (Fina) (1993)
- Oracle and Unix consultancy (Lis) (1994)
- Warehouse and database consultancy (Capsugel) (1995)
- Oracle 7 consultancy (Fina) (1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999)

- Oracle consultancy (Cobelfret) (1999)

Y2000 consultancy
The Rolls application which was made Y2000 compliant, needs to be tested. So, the testing environment, the organization of the test by the user and the test documentation had to be created. The test documentation consists of a description of the Y2000 test environment and a detailed list of the items to be tested per module. For each test item a test result report is created which logs the testing results of the user.
The complete set of test reports and test documentation was approved by an external auditor.
01/09/98 - 01/12/98.

CB direct
Adapting an insurance application for other companies. This rather old application, build in 1983, using IMAGE needs to be adapted in several phases.
In the end it will be multi company.
First phase: 15/03/95 - 01/07/95.
Second phase: 01/08/95 - 15/10/95.
Third phase: 15/11/95 - 15/05/96.

ROLLS-continued
See description of this project under as technical consultant .
Giving Oracle and VMS support / consultancy for the ongoing development of the Rolls application.
Taking part as a software engineer in the ongoing development of the Rolls application.
01/01/97 - 31/12/99.

ROLLS
The conversion of an application from HP to VAX. Rolls is a 'Refinery on line logging system'. It has two main parts, the first is the labo module which is used to measure the quality of the different products and the second part is the dispatch module which is used to maintain the different products (order, production, delivery, quantities, taxes, ...).
The application is mainly written in Cobol on an HP3000 and is built on an IMAGE database. It has to be converted to a dual host VAX 3800 and an Oracle database. The main goal is to make a 'technical' conversion because we have no time to learn the functionality s of the application and because the customer, who is doing the maintenance of the application now and also will do this maintenance after the conversion, only wants standard modifications of the sources. Therefore, we will make tools to automate the conversion of the application.
01/07/90 - 31/12/92.

PICANOL
A full automatic warehouse production system. A combination of real-time and transaction processing on one Vax system. This involves delicate tuning because the interaction between the real-time and transaction processing system can generate 'Alerts' which have to be solved by people working on the transaction system. This 'alert' mechanism together with the tuning consequences have to be worked out.
01/07/89 - 01/07/90.

Developing an Oracle I/O interface. So our products can run on an Oracle database with only minor changes. These Oracle I/O routines are generated and they use embedded SQL, not dynamic SQL (performance reasons).
